Uzra holds a M.Sc. (Environmental Sciences) with nearly 18 years of professional experience. In this journey, she led environmental research, climate change initiatives, WASH, content development and project management. She has been associated with the Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute, Bangalore since 2004, and worked for a Short-term Consultancy for the United Nations World Food Programme to study the Carbon foot printing in Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh, India. In 2011, she joined the Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad, in developing 8 City Sanitation Plans in Karnataka. Since 2013, she has been with Arghyam, in developing safe and sustainable WatSan solutions for Indian towns/cities. Notably, she has recently been leading the Scaling of Natural Resources Management planning and implementation in rural Meghalaya by applying digital and scale principles.
