Pankaj holds a master’s degree in development from Azim Premji University, Bangalore, and has over 8 years of experience in WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programs with organizations like AKRSP(I) and WaterAid. He has a deep understanding of projects focused on sanitation, water security, and water quality, and has been involved in implementing SBM (Swachh Bharat Mission) Phases I & II and JJM (Jal Jeevan Mission).
His work in Bihar included supporting state and district-level water and sanitation programs like LSBA (Lohiya Swachh Bihar Abhiyan) and MGPNY (Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Nishchay Yojana). Prior to joining Arghyam, he developed sustainable Operation and Maintenance models for piped water supply systems with AKRSP(I).
Pankaj is passionate about community engagement and has designed participatory tools for this purpose. At WaterAid, he worked on behavioural change programs for water and sanitation, water quality mitigation, and community platforms like Jal Chaupal.
An avid learner and traveller with interests in geopolitics and democratic processes, Pankaj enjoys experiencing diverse cultures, languages, and culinary practices.
